A few years ago I mentioned that one of my goals was to play in a Chattanooga District Golf Association event when I was 70 years old.
Definitely a long term goal for a 57 year old.
Goals are inspiring!
I have a column just inside the door of my house that I painted with a paint that turns any wall into a chalkboard. On my “Chalkboard” I write down the goals that I have set for myself. Post contain Affiliate Links! My Goals ! Get in Shape! Improve my game from inside 100yds! Get in Contention more often! I am going to address goal #1 today! Currently my main objective is to lower my weight down to 170lbs from the 181lbs I currently weigh. To achieve this goal I will need to incorporate a few new habits into my lifestyle ! Change my diet! Eat less Carbs! Sounds difficult but just eliminate chips and French fries, that’s a good place to start. You will be surprised how much weight you will lose just eliminating junk foods in your diet. Incorporate strength, balance, flexibility and speed exercises into my fitness workout. I recommend hiring a fitness trainer or joining a gym where you have access to workouts provided by certified fitness trainers. I joined a gym called Complete Training and there are fitness trainers present at all times in the gym and will critique you in the proper performance of the exercises. They push me as well, which keeps me motivated. They know I am serious about my fitness and how important it is to my golf game. Taylor Made Project a Golf Balls![]() My last habit will be to workout with my new Super Speed Golf training clubs. I am not usually interested in training devices but this one is intriguing. All the weight is in the end of the club and not so heavy that you can’t make a proper golf swing. I have begun using them and what I have gained initially is more flexibility, a better turn. Now that I am in my late 50's I have noticed I don't swing the club as athletically as I use to. Club head speed has slowed down as well and I don't turn as fluidly as I use to. Hopefully I will pick up club head speed and even more flexibility as I use theSuperSpeed Golf Training System more. Enough to think about today. I will write about my other goals later. Thanks!
